The Physics Department of the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta, Nigeria is organising a School, titled, ‘Joint ICTP-IAEA-FUNAAB Sub-Sahara Africa School on Applications of Monte Carlo and Molecular Dynamics Simulations in Radiation and Health Physics, to be held in Abeokuta, Nigeria, from 23rd to 28th June, 2024.
The Activity will be sponsored by Nigeria Society for Radiation Protection (NSRP) and IAEA-ICTP Office of External Activity. The School is intended for Fresh Postgraduate Students, Advanced Postgraduate Students and Young Scientists from Sub-Saharan Africa who are interested in Comprehensive Introductory Topics and Hands-on to the Monte Carlo and Molecular Dynamics Simulation Methods. The School shall provide the needed theoretical background as well as practical knowledge.
The school will be in hybrid mode (in-person and virtual) a fee of 150 Euro (or Naira equivalent) per Participant will be charged to cover the entire Activity. However, participation of all foreign Participants will be covered by a grant from the IAEA-ICTP EAU, while participation of up to 30 Participants from Nigeria will be covered by grants from, NSRP and Department of Physics. There are 70 places available for the School.
